Non-formal education is an organized process of learning and education aimed at training adults for work, for various social activities, for personal development and supplementing knowledge, skills and abilities according to special programs carried out by education organizers (schools, training centers, business entities, agencies and similar) and which takes place independently of the official (formal) education system and does not lead to the acquisition of public documents (diplomas and qualifications).
